Prunus cerasus ‘Evans’
One of the oldest varieties of hardy prairie cherries. Green glossy leaves with showy fragrant white flowers in spring followed by edible bright red, tart tasting cherries that are ready in July. Good for eating, baking and jams. Requires well draining soil and can self-pollinate for fruiting but increased pollination can be had with multiple trees.
